Project Description

Triumphal, commemorating arch built to honor Emperor’s Galerius great victory against the Persians in 305 AC. It was located vertical to Egnatia road (the basic road of Roman Empire) and it was part of the Roman palace of Galerius.

On the arch’s pillars you can see engraved scenes from the large victory against Narsis. The Arch, which is called Kamara by the locals, has been restored and cleaned many times in its history, with the last one taking place in 2001.
